Privacy policy

Information you choose to send

If you email us at hairold@hairoldthedog.com, your email service and ours process the address and message so we can read and respond. Please do not send sensitive details you do not want in email. You may ask us to delete a message by writing to the same address, subject to records we need to keep.

Daily Dog Log

The Daily Dog Log uses your browser’s local storage to save a dated checklist and note on your own device. The entries are not sent to Hairold The Dog. You can clear an entry in the tool or remove this site’s storage through your browser settings. Clearing browser data or switching devices may erase your notes.

Site delivery and outside links

The hosting service may process technical request information needed to deliver and secure pages. Optional visitor analytics is disabled. We have not added advertising pixels, an account system, a newsletter form, or affiliate links. External sites such as Instagram have their own privacy practices when you follow a link.

Shopping on Fourthwall

The home and Shop pages request public product information from Fourthwall when you visit and refreshes it when you return to the page. New product images may also load from Fourthwall’s image service. These requests expose technical connection details, such as your IP address and browser information, to those services. Catalogue requests omit cookies and referrer information. Your saved dog profiles, logs and planner entries are not included.

Shop links take you to our external Fourthwall store. Product options, prices, orders and payment are handled there under its privacy practices and policies. Payment details are not entered on this website. No Fourthwall checkout or tracking scripts are embedded here.

Questions

Email hairold@hairoldthedog.com about privacy questions. This page will be updated if the site adds analytics, advertising, a newsletter, or other data collection.

Games, tools, and your browser

Game records, achievements, boops, explored pages, checklists, and schedules are saved locally in this browser. They are not sent to us and do not sync across devices. Clearing site data removes them. Surprise Me uses temporary session storage. Loading a Spotify player connects to Spotify; their own privacy policy then applies.

Optional saved sitter sheets

The sitter sheet is not saved unless you choose to save it on your device. A saved sheet remains in this browser profile until you clear it or clear site data. Printing or downloading a file creates a copy that you control. No form details are uploaded to Hairold The Dog.

Daily visits, Passport, and My Dog

Your profile, logs, daily challenge dates, and Passport stamps stay in this browser. No account, cloud backup, or cross-device sync is provided. Profile and Passport pages have separate delete controls. Clearing a selected day in the Daily Log removes that day’s details. Downloaded copies remain yours to manage. We do not send private text to analytics or social sharing.

New private planners

The Care Binder, Vet Prep Pack, Puppy HQ, and Travel Planner save only when you choose Save. All entered fields are stored locally; selected sections control exports and printing. Each planner has its own clear button. Downloaded copies are not removed by clearing the planner. No private planner text is sent through analytics hooks.

Optional site feedback

When you choose Send suggestion, your message, feedback category and the current page path are sent to Formspree for delivery to the site owner. No name or email is required. Page query strings, URL fragments, saved dog details, location inputs and other form contents are not included. Formspree processes technical request information such as IP addresses under its privacy policy. Please do not include sensitive information in feedback. Feedback is not sent simply by opening the form.

Visitor analytics is disabled

Updated October 9, 2026. This site does not load Google Analytics or send optional visitor analytics, including when this browser previously allowed it. There is no analytics choice prompt. The site and its tools continue to work.

On a visit to the updated site, we remove the old analytics preference and this site's Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits. Other saved browser data, including dog profiles, logs, planners and game progress, is left in place. This does not erase data previously received by Google. Reload any pages left open before this change to use the updated site.

Hosting services may still process technical request information to deliver and secure the site. Links to other websites are subject to those websites' privacy practices. Local game and tool events support the site interface and are not sent to an analytics service.
